PNP-ACG, Partners Convene CyberShield Summit to Strengthen Cybercrime and Crypto Security in PH

The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG), in partnership with the Philippine Institute of Cyber Security Practitioners (PICSP), successfully held the CyberShield Summit: Fighting Cybercrime, Securing Crypto on May 14, 2026, in Cebu City — a high-level gathering aimed at strengthening the nation’s defenses against cybercrime, detecting digital threats, and protecting virtual assets. PNP-ACG Director PMGEN Wilson C. Asueta reaffirmed the group’s commitment to deepening its collaboration with PICSP, with the support of the Department of Justice-Office of Cybercrime (DOJ-OCC), the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and other technology companies, as part of a unified effort to build a safer and more secure digital landscape for all Filipinos.

Among the private sector partners that supported this important initiative is Copperstone Lending Inc., the company behind digital lending platform MocaMoca, which served as one of the event’s sponsors — underscoring its active role in advancing cybersecurity awareness and its dedication to protecting Filipino consumers in the evolving digital finance space. Its very own CEO, Mr. David Balamon, shared valuable insights on the importance of digital security in the fintech ecosystem.
